AI LIFE LAB

Two synthetic adults share a house with a fruit fly whose brain is being simulated, neuron by neuron, from the FlyWire connectome.

This is a slow, flirtatious character simulation. It contains adult themes, innuendo, jealousy, and candlelit bad decisions — but no explicit sexual content, nudity, or pornographic animation. All human-like characters are adults.

Sound is off until you turn it on. Memories are stored locally in this browser.

FIELD NOTES

How the house works

The inhabitants

Vesper and Lumen are two separate minds with distinct drives, memories, and goals. Click either card to follow them. They move autonomously, start scenes, get jealous, and remember what you say. With an NVIDIA NIM key, their replies can be generated by Nemotron models; otherwise they use local heuristic cognition.

The witness

DROS-03 is driven by a leaky integrate-and-fire simulation over the FlyWire FAFB v783 connectome: 139,255 neurons and roughly 2.7 million synapses. Sensory stimulation from light, heat, motion, and proximity changes its flight. The lab console is a live view.

The controls

Drag nothing — the camera is isometric and deliberate. Click inhabitants, stations, or the fly to inspect. Use the whisper bar to speak to the currently selected inhabitant. AUTO lets the house direct itself; RESET VIEW pulls the camera back.

The boundaries

Adults only. Intimacy is suggestive and emotional, never graphic. The simulation will not produce explicit sexual content or nudity. It is a diorama about tension, attention, and two people who should probably open a window.
